On Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008 the 37th Annual Halloween Paint-In will be held in Downtown Lawrence from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Children in 3rd grade or above --- adults are also welcome to participate in this Lawrence tradition. THIS EVENT IS FREE TO THE PUBLIC, BUT YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER BEFORE THE EVENT.

 

Parks and Recreation along with the Lawrence Breakfast Optimists Club and Downtown merchants offer this opportunity to paint store fronts for the holiday. An organizational meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 6:30 p.m. at Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St.

 

Participants must submit a sketch of their design by 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23. All participants will receive a Halloween Paint-In T-shirt.
